The human spirit is truly an amazing thing. Audrey Hill was given 5 years to live and here she is running a marathon — something that I can’t do myself. This is positively inspirational.

One woman running the Myrtle Beach half-marathon is trying to inspire others with her story.  It all began ten years ago, when doctors told Audrey Hill she only had five years to live.

At the young age of 29, Hill was told by doctors she had a brain tumor.  It was only six weeks ago she was cleared to run with the tumor that’s now the size of a mango.

With thousands of runners surrounding her, Hill says it’s worth it for anyone with cancer or other illness to get out and take better care of themselves.  When she finished with a time of 2:38 and met up with her group, it was clear that Saturday was her day.
